各位親愛的家長及同學：

Dear parents and students,

這個十月不太冷！十月尾了，天氣仍然維持高溫，更多次打破記錄。地球真的受傷了。新聞報導指出瑞士冰川融化的速度創歷史新高。冰川在一週內流失超過3000億噸冰，等於每5秒所融化的水就填滿一座奧運規格的泳池。這些冰川大約於7000年前形成，相信以後再沒有機會見到冰川的自然景象。雖然有點遲，我希望由我們開始做起去保護大自然，例如：自己盡量多做一些環保的行為，也多鼓勵身邊的人同行，否則地球會變成一個不適合人類居住的地方。

This October is not that cool and the temperature is high. The record is broken for several time within this month. I believe that the Earth gets hurt. The news told us that the speed of melting glaciers in Switzerland breaks the record. Glaciers lose more than 300 billion tons of ice in one week which means that is the equivalent of melting water every 5 seconds to fill an Olympic-sized swimming pool. All these glaciers were form around 7000 years ago. It is believed that there will be no glacier as natural scene. Although it is a bit late, we need to start protecting the natural environment, such as doing more e-friendly behavior and encourage friends and relatives to do so. Otherwise the Earth will become a place where is not suitable for people to live.

事實上，每件事也應該由自己做起，十月二十七日至十一月一日便是今年度第一次的測驗了！同學們，所有的溫習、考試也應該由自己負責，要做好準備應試。知識對於年輕人十分重要，因知識令大家成為一個文明的人，令大家都有着不同的觀點又互相尊重下一起生活。在小學認識的同學會比較真誠，所以要互相珍惜，不可以做一些彼此傷害的行為。若有誤會，應互相溝通及了解，一起去解決。我絕對明白，疫情期間人與人之間的相處時間減少了，溝通多以電話或短訊聯繫，疫情過後，我們要重新學習如何與人溝通，互相體諒，互相尊重，世界才會變得更美。

Actually, everything should be done by oneself. The first uniform test was from 27th October to 1st November 2022. My dear students, you should do the revision as the responsibility should be taken by ourselves. Knowledge is vital for young kids because it can make us become civilized. People have different points of views and we should be mutual respect to each other. Classmates we acquaint in primary school are more sincere and we have to treasure. Please do not do something stupid to hurt one another. If there is any misunderstanding, we should communicate and solve the problems together. I totally understand that the pandemic made people meet less. We mainly communicated through telephone or message. After the pandemic, we should start learning how to communicate with other with understanding, respect to make the world become more harmonious.

十月期間，學校安排了不同的類型的活動，好讓同學們重回生活正軌，多與外界溝通。這些活動包括有：星期六課外活動、小丑繪本劇場、小圖書管理員訓練日、敲擊樂器班等，日後將會提供更多類型的活動，希望為同學們提供不同的平台，發揮各人不同的潛能，不但能令同學們提升自信心，更能在自己的崗位發光發亮。

In October, various activities were arranged by school as we want our students back to normal lives with connecting with the others. These activities include – Saturday ECA, Clown theater, Little Librarian Training Day, Percussion class and so forth. We will try our best to provide more kinds of activities for students to choose because we wish to provide various platforms for our students to show his/her potential. Confidence will be enhanced and they can shine brightly on their domain.

在十月中旬，校長已經多次與辦學團體的張主席、鄭校監及蘇校長會面，他們提醒學校要做好準備，迎接日後回復全日制上學。學校已做好準備，為學生安排不同活動，令他們身心能健康成長。我們現在努力籌備12月的聯校陸運會，陸運會因疫情關係停辦了三年，我希望為大家舉行一個不一樣的、難忘的、快樂的陸運會。之後，我們也會努力安排全校旅行、六年級畢業營、出外參觀等，讓大家回復正常的學校生活。但測驗在即，現在首要的是努力讀書，爭取好成績！

In the mid of October, I had several meetings with the Chairman of our school sponsoring body – Mr. Cheung, our Supervisor – Mr. Cheng and our former principal and school manager – Mr. So. They keep on reminding me to get well prepared for the whole day school. Indeed, we have prepared and get ready to face the school back to normal. We have already organized different meetings like preparation for the whole-day school and so on t make our student grow happily and healthily. Now, were really try our very best to organize the affiliated schools sports day. It has been halted for 3 years. I believe that all the student and even parents wish to have a special sports day to cherish them again. Also, we are ready to prepare the school picnic, P.6 graduation camping, excursion and so forth to make students’ school life back to normal and provide them more authentic learning experiences. However, the test is on the way and please try your best to get good result first.

號外: 黃佩恩老師「弄瓦之喜」(即是誕下女孩；誕下男孩是「弄璋之喜」)，由於黃老師仍未能回校，難於齊集老師一起拍攝，所以今年教師合照設計了一個特別版，大家可以先睹為快。

Extra: Ms. Wong Pui Yan delivered a baby girl. It is really hard to take a group photo for teachers. Therefore, we designed a special version. Let’s have a look and please read all the mottos that teachers prepare to all of you as encouragement. Enjoy!
